Special Entry Preparatory Programme (SEPP)
A Preparatory Programme specially designed to cater for experienced teachers who do not possess sufficient science background to qualify for direct entry into the degree course is offered. Such candidates are eligible for admission to Year II degree course after successfully completing the 100 Level examinations of the Faculty of Science.
Entrance qualifications: All applicants must be at least twenty-five years old. Under no circumstance will an applicant below twenty-five years of age be considered. Applicants who fulfil the age
requirement must also fulfil the following conditions:

For entry into Year II, the General Certificate of Education with passes in five subjects, or the West African School Certificate with credits in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics of which not fewer than two have been passed at the Advanced level. However, the subjects passed at Advanced level must be those to be offered in the degree course. In addition, candidates offering physics in the degree course must have passed Mathematics at the advanced level (G.C.E.) or its equivalent.
